Tick Followed Tock represents the rhythmic nature of time, which requires the utmost patience in the face of its relentless passage. This is mirrored in my artistic practice, which is grounded on a calmness in composure and marks made with infinite patience.

I was inspired to paint this piece by the famous Guinness ‘Surfer’ advert, during a visit to Dublin. Whilst contemplating the cityscape at night, I reflected on the tenacity required to conquer the ocean’s biggest waves. The idea of pursuing success through a repetitive nature resonates deeply with my process, which observes the necessity of slowing down to achieve our dreams.
